HeidelbergCement invites researchers, students and citizens to submit biodiversity projects in its quarries around the world.
The aim of this scientific and educational contest is to raise awareness of the organic value of mining sites and share new best practices with the scientific community, NGOs, authorities and our operating units.
Over 300 proposals were submitted by participants to enter the 4th edition.
Many people from all over the world want to boost biodiversity with their ideas: 317 proposals were submitted for the 4th edition of the Quarry Life Award.
For its fourth edition, the Quarry Life Award announces today seven International Jury members to assess the projects for International Awards. This jury will work simultaneously with the 21 national juries which mission is to assess the participating projects in the national competitions.
